This almost didn't make it to the album (released this Saturday) because it was just such an outlier, unlike anything else we did - to say the least.
It's full title is "To The Dear Leader Kim Jong-un On The Occasion of Your Glorious Birth" but of course we refer to it as "Kim Jong-un" or simply "KJU".
Our own dear leader, the illustrious Tee Fitch, wrote this using words that he simply lifted from North Korean publications and whatnot. He showed it to me and Andy (drummer), we played it twice, maybe three times, and chose the weirdest take we had. It was FAST.
I was going to string a BonGo with rounds, maybe a 4 banger because there aren't a lot of complex notes in this song, but in the interest of efficiency simply used what I had in my lap at the time: a Big Al 5H strung with EB flats.
Hope you enjoy!
