I had a pistol customized two years ago by a famed pistolsmith from AZ that got delivered this week.

Ppl who can't stand the two year wait for this guy want to buy my pistol for more than enough (est.) to snag a Dargie with a little leftover in my pocket also. Hmmm....

GAAAAAHH!!!

nope. but i think if i got a fretless it wouldnt be an "Expensive" bass. I've borrowed a few and even thought theyre fun theyre not something i'd spend too much money on cuz i know i wouldnt put it to much use

Heh--You've got 6 MM basses already--how can you put any of them to much use? :p

i do play all of em - obviously not at the same time. I'll often have a couple lined up to compare stuff. its fun. see when i hit 7 MM basses i wont be able to use the "one for each day of the week" excuse ;)

i just wouldnt use a fretless enough in a practical sense to justify an MM price tag for one. never gig w/ it etc. id just noodle at home. if im gonna be spending MM type prices (which obviously i dont seem to mind doin) id get something fretted in a 4 string variety

So with 20 respondents we have 40% "sures". I am sure things will pick up once Dargie unveils his Obra Maestra.

I don't know anything you don't.

I'm just thinking about the amazing work Scotty has done lately.

That wasn't "Aw, man....why won't you tell us?"

It was more of an "Aw, man...why did my credit card company have to send me a letter saying I'd get 0% interest for any purchase in the next 6 months?"

You know--that kind. It was scary enough when it was just "Unobtainium Green." When he's calling suppliers to check out options, I know we're screwed.
