Thanks for sharing, BP. As I have noted before, my connections with MM and EB are pretty tenuous (although I currently own a lovely 12/99 SR5). Even so, I have been aware of the enormous quality difference between the pre-EB and post-EB MusicMan instruments, both from friends who owned the former and those (and myself) who have owned the latter, along with such pop history books as have appeared. It's great to have a name to put to the transformation in quality.

Sterling,

I'm a little late to this thread. I am so sorry to hear of the loss of both your brother and of your friend as well. Losing people we love sucks! I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

Man. Great stories about was obviously a great relationship. It's great to hear when companies and people can respect and care for each other. It is where the magic comes from. Rest easy Dan. Sounds like a life well spent. Also, sorry to hear of your brothers passing. The way you write about your life and experience tells me that you know how to make the most of your relationships and time.

Brought a tear to my eye, RIP Dan, RIP Sherwood.
Listened to Sherwood just the other day, what an amazing voice.

Words cannot express enough how painful that must be. I just found out and I am devastated. RIP to one of my all-time heroes, Dan Norton. Very sorry for your loss, Ball family.

Yesterday was the Dan's Memorial I delivered the eulogy....coincidentally the cemetery and chapel is where Leo Fender is buried. Irony

Really sorry to hear this Sterling. Wished I could express my feelings in writing better than I have. Thinking of you all.

Warm Regards
Colin
