BP - I know the rules and I am not asking for repair advice. Yes - I called Customer Service first.

I'm just sad to report that I have to send my Dargie back to SLO for a minor tweak. Seems that there is a wiring problem that makes the bridge pickup noisy - crackly etc. Dan said it might be a loose wire - or bad preamp or bad pot. He said they will get right on it and return it to me ASAP.

Other than that - my Dargie is gorgeous - I can't wait to hear it at its fully operational best!!!!!!!!

Alas - more waiting.:( Thankfully I have a few more EBMM basses to tide me over until my Dargie's return!

Dan was very helpful. Thanks Dan.

Let me know if you find that. My basses seem to be missing that switch as well.

Guys I think the old Dargie totals are wrong.. didn't someone say that EBMM sold over 400 Dargies in that tiny window?

Methinks the Dargie count shall be revised.

Steve, those were the revised numbers posted by Scott after the Dargie window was reopened for Ernie's birthday last year. I don't recall seeing orders being reopened again after that, unless it was over in the geetar part of the forum?

Mark,

Yes, I saved those totals back then, too. I just thought that perhaps some bigger dealers squeezed in some orders when I read the interview mentioned in this thread.

I'll quote the article here:
Darrin: Brian, the Dargie Delight editions of some of the favorite Music Man models are now shipping out. Can you tell me a bit about how the Dargie editions came about, and what makes them so special?

Brian: The Dargie Delights materialized through my brother Scotty Ball's avatar on the Ernie Ball Forum. We had a color called Logan Green that was specially made only on two instruments (Jesse Bastos Johnny A's bass player has the other)
Internet demand for the color enabled Sterling Ball and Scotty Ball the ability to offer a small window for Forum Members to order any instrument in this color. The instrument comes with a limited edition silkscreen and custom Martini Olive Green
Inlays! I think 400 were sold in total in a week's time period.

(emphasis mine)

Now, Brian was admittedly not giving exact numbers, so I don't hold him to that number, but it made me wonder if the total is more than what was last posted, that's all.

We counted those by hand, so the totals are not accurate. We also built extras for artists and other people after the order date closed. Once we flush them out of the system we can give an exact number.
