Hey Everybody,

Those of us that are going to be buying one of the Dargie Delight guitars, there are probably going to be questions about options etc. So I thought I'd start a thread for those questions to make sure they get answered. Here is what Aziah has said so far.

The wait is over..here it is:

The Dargie Delight finish/martini inlays will be available on almost all models of guitars and basses. The exceptions are the Y2D, The Benji Madden Signature, Axis, & Axis Super Sport. They are also available in the lefty models we already offer.

The matching headstock will be an option with the regular upcharge.

Contact your local dealer for pricing info.

Start lighting up those phones!!!

~Aziah

Here is another thing I have found out. Once the announcement is official on the forums, there will only be a 10 day ordering window. So don't delay.

Aziah, I hope I'm not stepping on toes here but in the thread you started the questions are are being mixed in with our comments on what guitar we should buy, etc. I thought I'd start a thread with questions only so it's easier for you to answer.

PLEASE ASK QUESTIONS ONLY. NO OTHER COMMENTS, so the questions don't get lost in the posts. That way, Aziah or whoever else is answering the questions can see them clearly. Keep in mind, our questions might not get answered until Monday.

I'll start off with a question....

I assume the Martini Inlays are going to be available on the John Petrucci models as well. Am I correct in that assumption? Just wanted to make sure, with the JP being a signature model.

Thanks,
Scott

Scott I know you are trying to help but please you guys are out of control. We are at an international trade show up to our asses in work. In three weeks we have created a new model and will gile you more information in time for you to make a good decision. Asking for questions is extremely counterproductive at this point. Just relax evetyone.... This only causes all of us more work.....TH eoptions will be very limited. People are already asking for different colored inlays!

Sorry Big Poppa, :(

I didn't want the thread to get out of hand with people asking can I get this, can I get that. Is this option available, is that option available. I was just trying to condense a thread that Aziah started. http://www.ernieball.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16579 I just wanted it to be a thread that people could ask about the details, etc. All we've seen so far is a BASS guitar with rosewood fretboard and non-matching headstock. I thought we'd be able to ask questions like...... Are the inlays going to be available on the JP? Can we order maple fret boards or can we only get rosewood? Beej had asked in another thread if we get a maple fretboard will the inlays be the same color or will they be something like black to stand out from the maple fretboard. I thought these were legit questions. I apologize if they aren't.

Since no one has asked a question on this thread yet, feel free to lock it or delete it if you feel it's necessary.

Once again, sorry for the trouble. Hope you're having a good time at the NAMM show.

Take it easy,
Scott

WE have told people that they could order it in any instrument other than axis and axis sport. We have told people that it comes with a bloack pickguard except for the Luke and Petrucci, we have told people it will come left handed and WE have told pelople that if it is a fretless bass lined the inlays will be in the normal position if its un lined there will only be two at the 12th fret. Now I will tell you that it will only come in rosewood as the maple will not be visual enough and it is was to cost prohibitive to make different inlays.

We are running the second biggest trade fair and trying to get the LE's 20th's and 30'ths and all of the rest of the orders.

I think that we have given you all the news as it becomes available. I keep askng for everyone to let us get through NAMM.

Keith is a new NorM my ass!

NorM,

That post made me laugh out loud. If you ever get tired of being NorM, you could call yourself SterRoid.. as in Sterling's hemmorhoid. :D

OK, I'm pretty much sold on the Dargie Delight AL. However, from the tone of this thread I gather we're not supposed to ask questions. Until last week I didn't even know what a Dargie Delight was, I do now and want one.
I cautiously ask, can these guitars be ordered now?

Hey guys,

Listen, BP graciously took a few minutes to hang with us and shoot some photos and fool around, but I guarantee you, the man's up to his neck with guys in suits and other annoying fashions.

He barely had time yesterday to yell at me.

Same with Scotty, Brian, Beth, Dan, all the guys. They're occupied! (Dudely wouldn't even get his photo taken with the Muppets.)

Anyway, I'll check in here and answer what I can about what I know, but I think most of the questions have been answered. No maple, I know that!

Nice work, those of you who chose to not show a little common sense.

Yep-seeing Jack and all of the EB staff at the show made me incredibly jealous-I would have given quite a bit to be there, and these photos are the next best thing.

Thanks, guys.
