We haven't even put them into the system yet. ( We should today or tomorrow). Delivery should be sometime in FEB.

Perfection is not achieved overnight. In the meantime we will just content ourselves by playing our other, no less perfect MM basses. Now for those of you who ordered the DD as their first MM, well, Stevie has plenty of "surplus" to help tide you over while you wait :D

Well I almost like this news. I was putting other stuff on hold so I could afford the Dargie Delight in Nov so now I can save towards some other important thigs to me.

BTW: I havent been here in awhile because Ive been kinda busy.

I thought about it. But I had like 8 other people with me. :D

I only got to go to GC because they all went to the Wendy's across the street.

I was in the Scottsdale GC on Sunday sniffing around for the Labor Day sale bargains (and to see if School of Bass posters were up..which they were) and was pretty disappointed by the bass department...pretty small front corner of the store and all EBMM's were hung high on the wall out of reach as if on "display" only...one GP Bongo, one 30th Ray and a few double peecup SR5's and such...I'd say 8-10 EBMM's max and all out of reach...the salesman was nice enough but not a "bass guy" per say kept heading me towards Schecters and Spectors down on the floor. I was more impressed with their acoustic guitar room which was killer and their home recording room. All in all a very cramped store and not like any GC's I've been in before.

The "vintage" department was a joke but then again I'm used to Drew and Dave's room on Sunset which is not to be beat. They had a Vox Phantom there at $1,800...LOL and non original to boot.

If I were a consumer in the Phoneix area (which I'm not) I'd beeline to The Bass Place in a heartbeat over that GC.

i think the wait time for EBMM is a good thing b/c they become more affordable. Ive purchased from dealers that take anywhere from $200 - 1/2 price up front. so the immediate cash outlay isnt bad at all and it buys you time to save money and/or sell other gear to pay the balance.

OK Im totally out of it. I better go back to bed. I don't remember the ride home from the dentist, hope I didn't make an a$$ out of myself. In fact, I don't remember about 7 hours of my life today. I hate it when that happens.

And I thought I was bad for not remembering the 80's.

Early 90's, too!

Wait--are these just the new ones ordered last week that are coming in February, or all of the Dargie Delights? I was under the impression when I placed my order in the original window that the expected date was the end of December. I mean, it'll just mean a birthday present to myself instead of a Christmas present to myself, but I'll still be a little bummed.

we will happily cancel anyone who is bummed!

I'm not bummed BP. Since I have all this extra money now that I don't have to pay for college, i'll be one of the first to place an order for a 20th SR5 as well. You keep taking my money.

Bastage.
