Can I have him ship the Sterling ('05 single pup trans orange Sterling matching headstock maple board w/case) to you?

Dude, if you take this one in, I'd like to see if it fits me. I have had a thing for trans orange for some time.

MotoJ, Hopefully the triple switch works. If not, I'll be a happy owner of a trans orange Sterling. I'll keep you up to date.

in the back of my mind, i'm hoping this whole thing is a joke and they are on their way out next week

"Get used to disappointment." :D

You're going to love the HSp config on a fretless Bongo. It's about as versatile an instrument as you are likely to ever play.

Bring it on...Ed's welcome out here anytime!! I'll even feed him lamb chops and brewskies. I just gave my honest impressions of my experience in that one store in Scottsdale. By far my favorite GC is the one in Redondo Beach on Artesia Blvd. besides of course Drew & Dave's stash on Sunset. I just found the one in Scottsdale (on Indian Bend) to be a tad lacking in the bass department...not a knock, perhaps a suggestion for improvement???

I do happen to know a "little" bit about marketing basses you know.

If you also noticed, I pumped up another dealer (Bass Place) in the same post.

ps: My garage is bigger than that bass department in that particular store. I guess in large stores carrying so many different types of product lines the competion for floor space is pretty rough between departments. This store on Indian Bend had a fantastic acoustic guitar room as well as state of the art home recording room.

GC has 3 stores in Phoenix and I've only visited the one so far but maybe it would be cool to divide the market up so one store has a larger bass department and say a smaller acoustic department and another has a larger percussion department etc...I don't know how they work....like if all stores are separate profit centers etc but with 3 stores in the same market I would think they could shift floor space allocation between different departments between different stores making one more known for a different department than the other two.

To be honest, I liked the Sam Ash store I visited there a few months ago. I didn't see any EBMMs. But the place was clean and organized. GC looks like a rummage sale sometimes.

I think Sam Ash doesn't carry EBMM's anymore, or at least that's what I heard.

Sam Ash was whacked many years ago. It was fun. They had a buyer that was the BIGGGEST asshat in the biz...I think he is gone.

Guys when visiting a GC remember that we limit their supply. THey get about 240-260 per month and it isnt enough. This is a problem they have with all of us smaller "Boutique" manufacturers. We decided to not try to keep all in stock but select certain markets to focus on and Phoenix isn't one .....YET.
