That Sterling was a good model to make first and bring to the show. Sitting there playing it, I almost changed my mind about a dual hummer SR5.

Great basses - it's really hard to go wrong.

I was going to get one like Dargie's (Bongo HH) but have a DG one already and that Ray Duke character and the pics of the Sterling HS at NAMM has me thinking to go that route instead.

Dude. It seriously rocks, brother. I sat there by myself this afternoon for about 45 minutes just putting it through the paces while Beth and the guys were waiting for the day to end. The neck feels perfect and the single coil has a bit more bite to my ears. The 5 position switch gives you a lot of tonal possiblities.

Ed Friedland agrees with me. :)

This is my dream bass Jack, I love Sterlings, but the single coil on that "Jewel" you sold me frickn killzzzz! This one has both. I Love the size of the Sterling and the neck is the best in the business... ok...ok, back to silent drinking, but I'm totally jazzed!:D

I played my Black Sterling (Classic) for several hours up at Mom's over the weekend and that bass just makes me smile. DD LE Sterling H/S LH Welcome to the Kingdom of Lefthanzia!!!:D

My biggest problem is making up my mind what to get. Sadly sitting around the booth and playing all the wonderful basses did little to clarify the situation.

Well, the easy part is that you have VBTC store credit JW. :)

There may be a clue to solving your problem in Dude's post about the Irish/Catholic thing; some of my unpublished research is pointing toward a phenomenon casually tagged as 'hormone surge' and there's a high correlation to early childhood and religious indoctrination ...

Bassists are fundamentally polygamous by nature; simply put, you were overwhelmed by all the flashy toys to play with and choose from; understandably, you wanted all of them ...

The sooner you can shake any guilt type feelings and restrictive conditioning about having to pick just one, the sooner you'll start feeling better.

Promise !

Someone made a thread about the DDs on that other forum. I thought it was something special to only the EBMM forumites.

?

I think the cat was out of the bag when it was introduced at NAMM.

Hey it was done for us, so technically it is a "forum" bass... in reality, only those who follow the forum closely will be excited enough to get one (with an exception here and there) - as long as the major retailers don't place a massive order.

I hope darren doesn't mind me tampering with his beautiful JP7 pics. I read somewhere (can't remember where exactly) someone requesting some photoshopped pics for the JP. I love 'candid'/home made shots of stuff, so thought it best to use a shot like this to photoshop.

Sorry about the corner cutting on the logo etc. I'm extremely tired and can't sleep (its 3:15AM here) so cut me some slack. ;)

Hope you enjoy anyway, It does look somewhat 'nuclear' but I'd imagine it to do so in direct sunlight anyway, so that's my excuse for my cheap photoshopping. And I kept the chrome knobs on just for darren. ;)

BP was right though, the inlays are massive on the guitar, hence why I left it at 12th fret only, as I was getting a headache making them small enough for the upper (smaller) frets! :D

Anyone want any other models doing?

EDIT: Just realised I'm in the bass forum. :D This is new and exciting.. ;)

jack help! please explain...I never said it was forum only....i said that i would make it with a 10 ordering window.....

it was never a forum only thing... just so happens to be that Pops & Dargin keep us in the loop with a lot of stuff.

I assume that its easier to hear/read about the Dargie Delight if you hang around here but word spreads like crazy on the net. since the info was posted on the internet (this forum) & the bass was showcased at NAMM its kinda obvious that this wasnt supposed to be a secret right?

anyone that contacts a dealer who knows (or is willing to find out) what a Dargie's Delight is within the ordering window can have one

I don't know about it being a forum-only thing....I was up late and drinking and on the phone with you and Dargin so my memory is suspect.

We might be imagining that forum-only concept because I do remember you saying that it could be ordered through any dealer....which of course you had your own agenda with THAT, I'm sure. ;)

In any case, whether or not it was ever talked about, evolution is not just a theory, it's also a fact, so no point in worrying about it.

We still get the coolest basses ever and we - the forumites - have the inside story.

So don't expect your local Giant Retailer to share your enthusiasm and sense of history, lads, that's all I'm saying.

BTW, the MOG made it's TB debut this afternoon. It's already up to 378 views and 2 pages.

Positive responses. Let's hope they translate into sales. You have the usual haters too, but what do they know? I made a booboo and said that it was initially meant to be a forum only offering... ( mebbe I was drunk too!)
