With any luck the Sterling HS will be back soon. In the meantime, I took this one home and played around with it for a few hours. Takes some getting used to after playing the Sterling necks all this time!

I found that since I don't play 5s that often that my right hand gets befuddled as to which strings to pick. Solved that by resting my thumb on the B string not my ususal place - the side of the pickup.

Enjoy the 5. I played my SR5HS at rehearsal last night. Our new drummer came downstairs and commented on how the 5er shook the whole house (in a good way).

That's what works for me, too, though I find I have my thumb touching the bridge pickup, but anchored on the B string. Hell, even so I still get confused sometimes and then get a dirty look from our drummer.

It wasn't aching THAT much!

I did some tweaking last night. Gave the truss a half turn and lowered the strings a bit.

That helped! Now it's just the neck width I have to get used to.
