im no tech wiz, but ive seen this on other forums, but i know that it is possible to make some sections subject to automated warnings when attempting to make a post, with the for sale section, it must be possible to make an automated message like the following:
"Please be aware that this section of the forum is restricted to members with upwards of 25 posts, if you are a new member, you are required to stick around and blah blah blah"
then to proceed with the post you have to click accept
not that you should need this addition, it must have this rule written in at least 5 more places, but .. apparently its not foolproof..

Those powderheads will never extinct, they will always be there. And they will always act like "I know someone in the head management of that company" or "my best friend is working for the xxx newspaper, and he'll be happy to hear about your practices"....and I still don't f***ing care. Just make sure that my name is spelled correctly.
This is the only forum I really like...because it is somehow "clean" of the abuse that is going on elsewhere. And I for my part wish that it stays exactly this way.

I don't get the way some people act on forums. The dutch gitaarnet forum almost succumbed to those wankers. No respect, big slabs of concrete in front of their eyes. Mods were doing the best they could, banned some of the suckers and now it's starting to resemble a laid-back forum again.
I love this forum, it has a sense of comradery, and the for sale section makes me totally sure that I can buy from one of you with trust. When arguements seem to get out of control there's always a mod or BP himself that sets things straight. That's the appeal of this place and I would love to see more forums function in the way that this one does. It's an important reason why I bought a MM and will buy em once I finish college. This forums seems to represent the ethics and love for the product that the company has and that's why I trust them.

OK So here is the deal....or one of the deals....This forum is here for people to share their passion for our stuff share information and increase GAS around the world for our stuff.
I have met many people here...people that I care for and consider friends. It is the little microcosm....there are all types here.
It wasnt set up to make enemies....unfortunately it is all part of the rats in the cage theory. i.e. put 100 normal rats in the cage and by the laws of nature you will get 5 brown nosers, 10 criminals, 50 really nice people and some bipolar freaks, and 3 axemurderers. So now you pay for a forum to hopefully spread a feel good atmosphere about your company and you end up with a few train wrecks occasionally.
In the beginning in wanting to keep this place how I wanted it I would take way too many people to the wall. I try not to anymore. But the foundation for a civil and really fun forum had to be laid. Without the structure it would have become what it is today.
THe purpose of this post wasnt to solicit praise for the Mods....But to show you guys the other side. These mods get just hammered with absolutely everything under the sun...Some of you guys PM them to death...(GW hint hint?)
Now when someone crosses the line or gets violently convinced that they have to win a point instead of presenting their viewpoint and allowing other viewpoints... then they start attacking and then they unfortunately get banned. We hate the concept of banning....why would we want to ban someone who came here out of interest in our products? The sad part is that as much as we never want to ban someone by the time we are left with no choice but to ban someone it feels good. strange.
Now people get banned or in a fracas and cannot believe that people can actually have a different opinion...then comes a few things....1. We are all fanbois. 2. We cannot have rules that they dont agree with because of their constitutional rights to free speech.....Blah Blah blah.
Just some morning thoughts.....It s real simple exchange ideas....accept others positions as their own...you dont have to agree with it just accept that it that persons viewpoint...if someone is just whacked out skip to the next thread....
Oh yeah and dont PM me or add me as a friend on facebook.

The bad part to all this is....people actually think they are directly employed by EBMM. All our Mods do this on their own time because they enjoy the page, the people, and believe in the products.
Hell, I get PM's sometimes from people wanting "favors" as they know I am friends with Pops. NOT GONNA HAPPEN. A fine line there and I won't cross it out of respect to Pops. Not so much anymore thankfully.
Still...I have met all the mods and every one of them are such down to earth cool people.
Hang in there bros....it is the minority that act like douchebags. Thankfully, nature has a way of eradicating them down the line.

Holy sh!t, what an assho!e. I agree with the assessment that he is a coward. I'd add that he's an entitled paper tiger to boot. Most of these guys are complete puss!es in the real world, and wouldn't jack sh!t if they sat across a table from you. That's my experience as a forum admin for 5+ years antway. Thanks to the crew that work tirelessly here to keep it a friendly, family kinda place. My apologies for any of my posts that have caused friction.
