It must be tough to MOD when certain members are just borderline to being complete d*cks in most of their posts. I mean, some people don't like that other people have opinions that differ from their own and they let people know every chance they get. They haven't done anything quite enough to get banned, but are just annoying hell. Those must be the hard people to MOD.

And if you are reading this and think it's you, it probably is.

I pm'd Jack and Beej yesterday because someone (a spammer) posted a very disgusting and illicit porn video during daytime, they, jack and beej can confirm that, and Beej even thanked me for that.

The other pm I passed jack was regarding a concern of a user trying to buy a bass 25th Anniversary bass from Hong Kong and this user asked me how many numbers a serial number consisted of. I copied jack in my reply because the person who pm'd me in the first place wanted himself some back up from Jack. That was dealt with and over and done with.
Other than that I have no reason to bother either jack nor beej, but if I see some fillth and disgusting porn on this forum (which I don't expect to) who should I tell?

Naw, it's all good. For the most part this is a very respectful forum full of good peeps. Tempers flare from time to time, but I'd say it's far less frequent than some of the other places I occasionally visit.

It's been said a million times, but the knuckleheads are a great group. I'm proud to call many of you guys friends.

...and, if this forum works like the one where I'm a mod, that results in everyone with moderator's rights in that part of the forum (including administrators etc.) getting an e-mail. So it's likely to be the quickest of finding someone who can get rid of an inappropriate post.

I think it use to be a competition to hassle the moderators.

I looked this one up from where DWF1004 announced he was one of the first member moderators.

Look moderator boy. You just keep checking the posts for spelling and grammar. Occasionally post a link to the MM FAQ or come up with a factiod that reaffirms all our guitar geek nature. While you're at it, I think Derek needs a sandwich. See to that will you?


Disclaimer: I love Darnell and the idea of him being a moderator for this board. On the Bass boards things were happening that made the decision to add self-moderators a wise prudent choice (IMO). I also think it was a great idea to add that feature to this board as well. Darrell is ultra qualified for this position. His responses and posts have always been correct and informative. I realize this forum is not here to be the norm comedy hour nor do I desire it to be. Humor in language is just a part of my personality. I often add this aspect of myself to my posts. This forum has allowed me to do this in the past and for that I thank all of you. Generally, I try to make myself the butt of my jokes. But from time to time I might be inclined to pick on someone else. These "jabs" are only meant to be entertaining and are not meant to be taken seriously. Mind you moose bites can be pretty nasty.

Awhile back, I was talking with Beej about different pickups and through my searches on different forums I could not believe some of the antics that go on. Ridiculous comments and stuff that really crosses the line. The level of immaturity combined with a lovely sense of entitlement makes most of these places worthless.

This place, however, is like a family, everyone knows about the crazy aunt or uncle but gets along anyway !!
