Did Leo design the SR5?

Now, even I know that Leo was long gone when the SR5 came into being. Don't know if this is heartburn material, but just thought I'd mention it in case anyone needs to be "correctly informed." Or, am I insane and he actually did design it? Perhaps I need to be set straight! Anyway, just sayin'! As you were...

Leo was still alive when the SR5 came out - he died in 1991.

If I do my math right - 20th Anniversary SR5 this year...

OK, I'll shut up now - it was my feeble attempt at humor. I was only responding to the original note that I thought was saying Leo was long dead before the SR5 - when in fact the poster meant long gone from MusicMan.

Well, I already knew and that is why I am such a fan. Designing the SR5 and the fact that you played bass with Albert Lee are my personal favorite BP facts! Making an Albert Lee Sig mod is way up there too.

So how did the decision get made to not have a flat-top slab body-- the nice curvy carved parts are soooo nice on top...and very distinctive...
