I played the Einstein 50 watt head, was amazing - theres a studio here in NY thas has a few of them, Diezel stuff is great, they really dont make anything that sucks, but I like 2 channel heads and I like 50 watt heads so it was right up my alley - if you can afford it then grab it you will love it - what kind of music do you play?
I'm seriously tempted by the Einstein head - although I've got more than enough amps and definitely shouldn't buy it unless it is the greatest thing ever. Anyone got/tried/heard one? Preferably with an Axis playing through it!
Maybe I'll get a Peavey Bandit!
Koch, VHT, Diezel??? Argh! Too many choices! And then there's Trainwreck that are meant to be awesome too. Maybe I'll get a Peavey Bandit!
Strangely enough, I really don't like the Kochs. The cleans are very nice but the distorted tones are, IMHO, quite lacking... Paired with the fact that two out of the four Kochs I've played blew up when I needed it the least (once in the studio with the expensive clock ticking away and once live in front of 600 willing highschool girls - and their boyfriends), really makes me less than enthusiastic about their product.Best kept secret is the Powertone II: Koch Amps - amps with an attitube. Their amps allow you to sound like you, which is slowly becoming a rarity with amp manufacturers these days. From stellar cleans to outright hellish crunch and anything in between, their amps rock!. I've played both Diezels & Kochs and in my opinion, the Koch out diezels the Diezel. And their prices are realistic, I think the Diezels are waaay overpriced! Do yourself a favor and check out a Koch!![]()
