Hi There!

I have my beautiful JP6 for a year now and play and gig with it very often.
Now with all those nights there come new marks although I TAKE CARE of that baby.

And every new Ding is so painful:(

Have any of you the same experience and some "imperfect" Balls?:D:D

lol

Back on topic, this is one major concern I'll have when I get my LH JP. I don't even want to play it now that I think about it lol

Then don't buy it !! Guitars are for using.
My SS picked up a ding on a flight to China ....fortunately the girl singer had just the right shade of pearl purple nail polish to touch it up so it didn't show. Rock & roll can be hard on guitars, which is why I'd never pay out for a coffee table one.

Something to make you feel better here dude.

Dont worry bout that ding. I knew you pay a fortune for that beloved Ball you have. Just play the hell out of it. By the time the frets worn out, the neck gets dirty, it dont really any more. Hey - you should have saved up even then to acquire another ball!! Then you will baby your new Ball, and carry on to abuse that workhorse.

Hope this helps. ;)

It was just a joke ;)[/QUO

I know.

It seems to me sometimes that owners are so carried away with the beauty of their new instrument, they forget what an electric guitar is for.......but that's just the way I see it.

There are obviously people on here with huge collections of pretty instruments who buy them for a totally different reason....and why not, it's their money. EBMM makes instruments to cater for both types of buyer, so while you're buying the quilt top BFR
I'll be after a new AS or SS which I won't be afraid to use. We'll both enjoy the experience.

+1 I completely agree

It just sucks in my case, I have to bust my butt trying to get the money for a BFR (I'm a broke college student). It would make me feel bad if after all the effort I would scratch the s#$% out of it. I think some members feel the same way.

Yeah, I put my first ding on my AL LE acoupla weeks ago. It`s driving me nuts! Dings do happen, it true, but this "ding" makes me feel like a "dong" maybe even "King Dong"!;) Gonna have to get mine fixed. OK, OK, Neurosis, you win!

The most annoying is the non-playing related ding. Case in point, had my JP7 for not even a week, careless slip of my pliers adding an extra trem spring, had nothing protecting the body like I should have and I put a scratch a ding right to bare wood the size of a pea below the trem cavity. Thankfully it's on the back but pissed me off nonetheless for a couple of weeks. Got over it, don't give it a second thought except for last week when I pulled that spring out when I realized I liked it with three and I got pissed off all over again now that the ding was really unnecessary!!!! But I'm better now...........................

All my guitars are covered in dings. Whilst I don't abuse them, when you are gigging its inevitable that they will get marks on them. I bought them all to play them, not to polish them all day!

Think of them as "Battle Scars" and each dent represents a memory. I am a Guitar Player not a guitar collector.

I hope that makes you feel better :)

Maybe someone should start a thread: "Show me your Battle Scars!"
