The 2 basses I own only came in one colour, saved a lot of frustration.

I do however miss ice blue and medallion gold.

I miss the large flake sparkles. I am grateful for the sparkles I was able to get at the time.

Somehow, all of the colors I love get the axe, or, are limited runs to begin with.
Trans Orange, and Trans Teal are discontinued, and Venetian Red was limited. The next color I have my eye on is Mint Green.

1. I regret not getting a Bongo in Medallion Gold. Had the chance but missed it.

2. I'm glad I got a Stingray in Burnt Apple. Beautiful bass.

1) I wish I had even seen some of the sparkle basses at the time. They weren't even on my radar. And, I wish I had picked an SR5 in blueburst (often refered to as Smurf Blue) back in the early '90s.

2) My trans white SR5 is quite nice and a rare piece.

I have the medallion gold bongo -- the smalleq fretless -- very handsome....

Sold the trans crimson 30th SR -- miss that color.

Always thought the egyptian smoke looked intriguing.

Egyptian Smoke, Transparent White and Buttercream were three other colors that I loved.

I really wish I could have been around in the days of the sparkle finishes; I especially like red and white sparkle and autumnburst. Kitschy, maybe, but still really awesome. Looking at a lot of people's basses on musicmanbass.org and seeing all the cool sparkle finishes makes me kind of sad.

I have a translucent teal SR5 and a Dargie II Bongo, which in my viewpoint are among the best finishes that you could own. Under the right lighting, trans teal is incredible and looks nearly black in low lighting. I also thought the Dargie finishes were amazing to look upon.

1. Desert Gold / Orange Firemist an Seqouia Gold. I missed on SG because I did not like the gold hardware, but the colour looks amazing...
2. Olive Gold and Egyptian Smoke

I miss Ice Blue and Orange Firemist, I would like an OF Big-Al 5 and a IB Bongo 6.

I own an Electric Blue EBMM SR5 HH. I have to say that I get many positive comments on the finish of my SR5. IMHO if BP would have kept some of these discontinued colors a little longer they may have started catching on, but then again I don't run the company and can't see things from his perspective.

One thing holds true, an EBMM bass in any finish past, present or future is a beautiful thing!

There happens to be a Bongo 5HH in Ice Blue/Rosewood board available @ BassCentral... Life's too short to have regrets!;)
