Does anyoine know if longtime EBMM Axis user Dj Ashba's Axis guitars are stock? If they are not, do you know what has been changed on them? Even though he is using Line 6 Vetta Amps, he has a great sound, and is a great player.

BTW, he has a few guitars (Axis) that have some killer graphics. Does EBMM do those graphics or are they after market? And if EBMM does do them, will they do graphics for other customers on a custom order basis?

His stuff is custom to him, they are not available. Not sure about them being different than a standard Axis or ASS.

For Artists they do graphics and what not, be only artists. There are enough combinations for the average Joe that it would be too time consuming and too costly. You can always have this stuff done on your own, I'm sure there are tons of places out there that will do it, but just make sure your warranty is up. :)

There was a thread out there that has stuff in it about DJ Ashba, try doing a search.

Hope this helps, Glenn |B)

There's a great article on him in this month's Guitar World (Slipknot on the cover). He's on the last page (Featured rig).

THe black Axis is actually wrapped in leather that he did himself. He also has a cream or white Axis with custom graphics. I have no idea who did the graphics for him..

Thanks for the info. I think I have that issue and I will definitely check it out. Dj is about my favorite newer rock guy; he kicked ass on the Beautiful Creatures first album, not so much on the Sixx A.M. stuff, although he throws some tasty stuff in there from time to time. I shouldn't knock it though, compositionally, the Sixx AM stuff is pretty decent, just not my thing.

Most of DJ's guitars we custom made by Music Man. From the Beautiful Creatures guitar to the Latest Heroin Diaries one, they have pretty much commissioned by DJ for us to build.

DJ joined us around 1998 when BC first got their start in LA

Cool. The Heroin Diaries ones are really cool looking, for a graphic-type finish. Great guitar player.
