Actually the guitar w/vintage trem stays in tune pretty well...with light use it shouldn't be a problem. Sometimes I do more dramatic dives on it, and it still stays in tune for the most part. As long as you dont go nuts (since the A.S.S. doesn't have a locking nut)....it's a very good trem unit.

A good tip is to stretch your strings...pulling on them at 3 different points along the length of the neck (Moderately) and retune them after each stretching sequence (up to 3 times) right after you put on a new set. That will help break them in a little faster, and avoid going out of tune so much right after you put them on.

I have always been a fan of rosewood. Thought I might try something different. As I look at all my guitars and basses, all rosewood with one ebony board.

Well, I have found 4 lefties. Two are red, one is black cherry burst, and one is (can't remember) I think a burst finish. My favorite color is pacific blueburst, but the wait is pretty long. Just gotta decided if I want to wait or take what is available. Limited used lefties out there.

oh, that trans blue is beautiful. I am guessing shipping and taxes to the US would be quite expensive. I bet I can learn to live with a red guitar.:D

Yeah the blue is awesome. It was one of 3 colors I wanted. I got the natural (which was in my top 3), and if I can find a blue lefty in the U.S., I just might have to pull out the credit card again.

Everyone needs a backup guitar that is basically the same as their main axe, so to me there is no question - you need another with a Rosewood board, and then two with maple as well (gotta be flexible, you know.....)

well its hard to say exactly how bright maple is, my two maple ASS's are without doubt brighter than my two rosewood ASS's, but that could be the MM90's that are making the difference. i would like to get a ASS with humbuckers and rosewood to see how much its different, maybe tobacco burst with matching head. mmmmm tobacco.

I think the ss with the p90s is swamp ash with a maple cap. That is probably a bright combination. (don't hold me to this, I think this is true) I will probably get a rosewood board with a trem. One with a trem, one without.

That's right, the MM90 ASS's are ash under the cap, the HB models are basswood.

I have one and love it. Best feeling and playing guitar I have ever owned. Also have a heritage les paul custom which I really like but it does not compare to the MM. Anyway my found another lefty MM I love and my sensible friends keep saying you do not need two. BUT I WANT ANOTHER!! what do you guys think????

Two is one. One is none. :D

A backup? Sure! I'm all for it. :D
