Do You Plug Your Active Bass into the Normal Input or the Low Level Input of your Amp

Of course, my LMII only has that one hole, so I adjust the gain.

Yes, for me, never "padded", always passive or normal. I challenge my amps.

I plug my active bass in the passive hole, I'm a rebel, I don't care, that's how I got my nickname. Now excuse while I get to livin' on the edge.




Seems like some active basses are more active than others, but all my Balls work just fine in the passive hole. (Which would NOT be a good band name.)

Thank goodness BP and his engineers are anal about this stuff too. It's interesting to see that using the padded input is actually recommended with the 25th (and I think the Big AL too, right?), so that when you switch between the passive and active modes/settings on the bass, there won't be a huge delta between the signal levels.

That makes perfect sense for a bass with a preamp that has both passive and active circuits, but for my Bongo or Ray ... don't attenuate my signal!
