<div class="bbWrapper">I give it my best effort. I never used to be able to do it, but I&#039;ve just been sprinkling it here &amp; there where I can and I know I won&#039;t screw it up too much (say riding the same note for the whole time I&#039;m singing).<br /> <br /> It gets harder as either the vocal line or the bass line changes up too much during the course of the thing.<br /> <br /> I think it&#039;s definitely a practice thing, where you get to the point that you&#039;re on autopilot for at least one of them, and can therefore focus on the other. It&#039;s still really difficult for me to separate the two.<br /> <br /> I think I read somewhere that Geddy Lee has a hard time at first when there are new songs being written, but that after a while it gets done.<br /> <br /> Oh well, my too scents</div>

Too bad he doesn&#039;t get a mic, I hear him sometimes and it&#039;s mighty fine singing! Now all he needs to do is work on his punctuality (covered before in another thread <img src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f61b.png" class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" width="64" height="64" alt=":p" title="Stick out tongue :p" data-smilie="7"data-shortname=":p" />). He&#039;s getting better, though!</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">I find I can sing backup stuff whilst playing bass without much problem. Lead vocals on the other hand is, to me, incredibly difficult. I find it easy to sing lead vocals whilst playing a 6 string guitar though.</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">Nope - no sing for me...<br /> <br /> But somehow I became the guy that is expected to whistle during &quot;Me &amp; Julio Down by the Schoolyard&quot;... <img src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f644.png" class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" width="64" height="64" alt="" title="Roll eyes " data-smilie="11"data-shortname="" /></div>

<div class="bbWrapper">I used to sing and play piano at church growing up, but never sang backup and played bass untill about 2yrs ago when i got the gig i have now. Wow what a change. It&#039;s really second hand now unless there&#039;s some odd-time stuff, then i have to think a little.</div>
