People have been telling me that all day today:D Maybe I should change that:confused:

Thanks though, I'm glad you guys dig it. I wish I could put up some of the new tracks from my record. Chad Wackerman is almost done with his drum parts. All I can say is WOW!!! He is soooo good! I can't wait to start tracking guitars here in the next couple of weeks:)

oh thanks !

I really dig your sound Don, will you mind explaining what do you use apart of your silo of course and your magic hands :D

Wow thanks! It really depends on the situation. I’ve used many different amp setups, depending on the particular gig or project. Actually, I filmed my entire instructional DVD using a POD 2.0. It was just convenient at the time and I was able to get a good sound from it:) I have a two bedroom condo so it makes it tough to used a mic’d amp.

For my CD Fine Lines, I used a Fender Super 60 head, two Marshall cabs (2/12 and 4/10) with a Mesa Boogie V Twin. I also have a Fender Super Sonic combo, Egnater Renegade (I was endorsing Egnater until recently), Mesa 2/12 cab, etc… Almost all of that is now up for sale actually, haha…..

I recently switched over to Engl amps and LOVE them!!! I am currently playing an Invader 100 Head and 2/12 Pro Cab. It’s an amazing head that allows me to get a great range of sounds from the 4 channels. It sounds great even with the stock tubes.

I am soon going to start tracking my guitars for my new record. For that I will be using my Engl, both mic’d and with a Palmer PDI-03. I plan to use the Palmer as a load box, and use the Redwirez Impulse Responses in place of the Palmer’s Speaker Sim.. It all depends on the sound I need for whatever part I’m tracking. I’ll also use the Axe-FX for a few things, but 90% will be the Engl.

I love the Mesa V-Twin... i had one a few years ago and that's the one pedal i could kick myself for letting go... Glad to hear that it was used by someone of such calibur as yourself... great site.

I did the exact same thing years ago, hahaha.... I bought a used V-Twin for $200 and ended up trading it in for something else a year later (I can't remember what) and quickly realized what a mistake I had made.

I ended up having to buy a new one (I couldn't find another one used at the time) for $400. I'll never get rid of this one, ever:D

Yeah... i landed mine for an astounding $80 dead mint... still in packaging and sold it when i was going thought a "tonal change" and sold it so i could finish paying for my Orange AD30HTC

so not a bad trade but i realized how great that pedal was and there's no way i'm going to land another one at that price.

That's usually how it goes for me too; I sell something to help pay for something else. Then later I realize I wish I would have kept it. I'm sure we've all done that at one time or another. I'll bet the Orange is KILLING though:)

Hi Don, For string dampining, Are you just using a regular hair band?
Or is something you made yourself? Thank you

Yeah... the Orange is for me and my setup the perfect amp... i have both channels dialed in and i'm loving it...
our drummer actually commented a few weeks ago that this is the best my tone has ever been... and i've gone through some serious extremes with my setup trying to achieve that "tone" but i think i've got it...

and as my buddy Skip says... people like me keep his store in business... LOL!!
