Yeah the whole thing is black and white (black and yellow), and it has a tasteful amount of spots and flickers, along with a grainy texture like seeing an old reel to reel movie. Personally I think it's pretty cool, different for a change, and well done.

But that's just my opinion :)

Operation Mindcrime, possibly the greatest concept album ever!

There was a time when it first came out that I could play the entire album from start to finish. I sooooo wanted to be able to do the entire album as a set with a band but finding a singer who could nail Geoff Tate was impossible.

Wow - a new DVD to pick up! Glad to see there are other QR fans here. I've been a fan for many years. DT, QR and Symph X - 3 of my all time favs....

In my younger days I could do a reasonable Geoff Tate!

I've been a huge QR fan since the early 80's. They sorta lost me after Mindcrime, though. Empire was OK, and then things really went downhill.. (Hear in the Now Frontier... Q2K.. etc.)

My fav QR will always be "Rage for Order" (1986). Every moment on that record is genius.
And I really didn't like that album the first few times I heard it! But in the end it became one of my all-time favorites.

I used to play "The Killing Words" and "I Will Remember" with some bands. I also know some stuff from the Mindcrime, The Warning, and the old EP ("The Lady Wore Black" in particular).

I have the QR "Unplugged" album from their MTV performance. The production quality sucks, but the band is good.

I think "The Killing Words" is my favorite tune from them.

I also have "Rage for Order" and "The Warning" on old VINYL ALBUMS, and the covers are autographed by all 5 band members (DeGarmo, Wilton, Tate, Rockenfield, and Jackson). I had them signed at a music store promo/meet and greet when the Mindcrime album came out.

Cool vid! Not familiar with QR, but that three guitar soloing was pretty sweet at the end.

On a related note, anyone see that vid of JLB spilling on stage? Painful to watch. But secretly laughable.

As an aside they'll never tour together again from what I understand...

As for the greatest concept record....it's called The Wall...or maybe Tommy...but I digress OMC is a great album and they probably shouldn't have tried to write a sequel to it...

wow, great video!
a few years ago i loved QR as much as i love DT today. ;)

as for the concept record, i have a different opinion: as orangechannel said:
Pink Floyd - The Wall - is one of the best, if not the best.
Genesis - lamb lies down - a milestone
DT - scenes from a memory - i love this album!

OC, those are great albums as well. I happen to like OMC a great deal and Tate can sing would be an understatement on my part.

OMC2 is due out in April I believe. It will be interesting to see how it is musically and I hope that it is as good if not better than the first one........we'll see.

I saw that tour (big surprise there) in Tampa, FL, and the two bands played Won't get Fooled Again by The Who.

I love QR, especially Operation Mindcrime, and Empire, but I think DT smoked QR live, IMO.

That definately made me shiver. Man the goosebumps are permanent now! That'll defo be my next DVD purchase and maybe a chance to get into queensryche. I remeber owning the Empire album around 1993/4....but thats about it as far as QR goes! But that video is awesome! JP doing the second solo is fantastic and the three guitars at the end! Woah!

Well there is an age difference...with that said Labrie can't hold a candle to Tate, even on Tate's worst day!
