That was one of the best shows I have ever seen. For the Connecticut show they did Under Peruvian Skies, Take Hold of the Flame and capped it with Won't Get Fooled Again. Simply amazing! And to think that Pete missed it... :p

Now if I'm reading this correctly, am I to understand that your wife, at the time of the concert, is different from the one you have now:eek:
or at the time of the concert your wife did not want to attend...cause really the way it is written there, can be confusing...or maybe it's just cause I'm Canadian!:D

Razzola....Pete's not married....you can kinda shoot the term pseudo-wife in there...

Koog's I've heard a bunch of OM2...and uhhhh....welll....ahhhh....mom said if you don't have anything nice to say...shut your mouth! but she didn't say not to type it...it's pretty bad...they need to hang it up because they're not doing justice to the previous output...

Man JP smoked the both of Queensryche's guitar players. Tonewise, phrasing, ect. The first solo Michael Wilton played was awful and I am a big fan of Queensryche too. I can see why Dream Theater and Queensryche won't tour together again. I wouldn't want to either after I just got smoked!LOL But overall cool video.

Wow...that bad huh? That's too bad. Ever since Empire, I haven't really been into the stuff they were doing. I was hoping for one last Hurrah from them with OMC2......guess not. :(

The missing Chris DeGarmo was a huge factor in the writing of Mindcrime not to mention he was behind the majority of the leads and backing vocals.

Same here, after Empire, there wasn't much there...still I am hopeful...but as OC said, it's not looking to good...no DeGarmo...meh! Oh sorry Pete, I didn't know you weren't married!
Although I know of someone who got an advanced copy and they give it a 7/10, so who knows!

I saw that tour (big surprise there) in Tampa, FL, and the two bands played Won't get Fooled Again by The Who.

I love QR, especially Operation Mindcrime, and Empire, but I think DT smoked QR live, IMO.

>^..^<

I've never seen QR but would imagine DT would smoke them and most other PM bands, on stage. I saw DT w/ Megadeth at Jones Beach last summer and they blew them off the stage.

Bingo. Interestingly enough DeGarmo has a couple of writing credits on the new Dredg album...as far as what he's doing now....he's a fulltime private airline pilot.

I agree with Brett, that JP SMOKED the other 2 guys SOOOOOO badly. I am not familiar with QR, but based on the geetar players, I dunno about that. I also cant really judge the singer from QR because he sounded weird in this video, and I dont like Labrie's whiney singing much. In the first place I dont like singing at ALL unless somebody can REALLY sing and compliment the music they are singing to.

Just watched it. I don't know man, I love Labries voice. Tate's great too but Labrie has gotten better over the years. Having Wilton and that David Cross look-alike on stage with Petrucci was a sacrilege.

I now recognize Michael Wilton from the, of all things, Carvin DVD. He apparently endorses them now.

Petrucci's tone is always so great. Can't wait for my Road King to get here.

Well, not everyone can play with precision like Petrucci. But, QR have done some great music and there is no denying that. Shame if OMC2 is bad like OC said.

Queensryche on "Rage for Order" (1986):

What? You say you're through with me
I'm not through with you
We've had what others might call love
You say it's over now,
What's done, what's through?
You can't stay away, you need me
I need you

Queensryche on "Empire" (1990):

But now my take-out food is growing cold,
and the candle's burned a hole in the floor.
And I'm still waiting for the ring of the phone.

Witness the decline.. :(

Wow, this was just terrible. Besides JP playing the solo(which was dead on, can't complain there) andthe Queensryche singer(bald head guy), it was bad. Didn't really soudn right. the dream theater (re) singer was just plain aweful.

anyways, Queensryche is actaully good, its just to bad dream theater has a bad singer.

Yeah, this is not the JP forum and we don't need the "I like so and so singer better" and being a "fanboy" and what not.

Here is one for those out there to ponder. Tate and LaBrie have and still are successful in their chosen field. NOBODY can deny that.....because my next question would be......."Where is your platinum album?"

Tate might not be all the way on top with QR, but they have quite a few platinums for sure.

Nobody's flaming here. Here's something else to ponder. What do platinum albums have to do with the quality of a singer's voice a musician's skills? Britney Spears is platinum after all.
