I was going to say that too, but I've not seen a set of EB Flats, so didn't know if the EB's also have blue silks.

Depends on which brand and gauge of flats. Some brands of flats have a lot more tension than equivalent gauge rounds, so I imagine tuning down a tone would be quite feasible.

That's the set I want to try. I have a "used set" of another name brand on there now and I like what I am hearing. I love the feel of flats and the "No squeeky" sound I'm hearing.

I detest string noise ala roundwounds...........

Yes they do resemble Chromes. I have a used set of them on my Bongo right now but I want a new set of EB Flats............

If we could see the ends of the strings, we'd know for sure. Chromes have the different colored ball ends.
