EBMM Axis Info Please

Hi All:

Brand new to the forum here, and as of just a few days ago I'm a first-time EBMM owner. Though I've been a player and huge fan of the Wolfgang, curiosity about EB's reputation for high quality got the best of me. I purchased a trans purple flame top Axis off eBay; it's most definitely an awesome instrument.

The serial number is: G00573. Any info about this guitar would be appreciated.

Parts Dept. for Trem Arm?

Also, the original owner didn't send a trem arm with the guitar. Since the Gotoh arm bolt seems very specific in type, is it easiest to order this from EB?

Glad your on board too! That Axis is one of the nicest tops I've seen (really clean looking)!! I'm also a big fan of the Wolfgang and I consider the two guitars sisters -with slightly different tastes! You must be a big Van Halen fan too.

There's just something uniquely special about the EBMM guitars. I guess you discover that when you own one. Enjoy!

What kind of purple? Trans Purple? If it were to be so, I'd have to get an ASS, but it would be hard to implement across the entire line of instruments.

Opaque purple? I think that for me, it would have to depend on the shade. Sparkle could be a plus.

just plain purple. that will do nicely. id settle for a sparkle too! no chance of trans colours for LE's i'd reckon.

Another question: Is it common for the neck and/or locking nut on the Axis to be shimmed? Mine was shimmed at both, and after attempting to re-string it without them I discovered they did indeed need to be there.
