I'm with NorM and Glenn on this one. Selling a gift guitar is about as low as it gets for me (especially one from EVH!).
Also, the EVHs were very very nice guitars, but even for the same money, I'd probably choose an Axis. I just like all the changes they made after EVH left (the contour, the width of the neck at the body - no more high E sticking issues, and the placement of the switch). I just find the Axis much more comfortable to play with these changes. I speak from experience as I used to own 2 EVHs and one Axis (which I do now regret selling
). I'll get another Axis when the time is right.
