Ok you guys, i had to do this, since i bought it very cheap, and it needed a little TLC... i bought this EVH from Chris @ Chris Guitars.. some people told me not to buy this one, because it wasnt 100% original because of the floyd.. but HEY, i had a original Music Man floyd rose here from an exchange i did a couple of months ago..
so i began thinking, and i hit the paypal button and bought it..
this is how it first came (picturers from chris website)
with these flaws, notice the backside all in the wood...
\
So i decided to start a do a restoration to it.. why? this is not gonna be for sale, is for my personal collection and i dont care if it degrades its collectable value..
so i started sanding off the clear of it 100% and removing the current red dye(tint) from the body...
then i applied a red stain (darker one) to make the shadows of the quilt even more punchy than it was when original..
then i sanded the tint again (notice the more darker shadows on the quilt)
and then i was ready to apply the Red tint, a bright red like the original...
and this is the final product... check this out... (notice the shadows of the quilt now? much heavier than when original...)
the back side..
Another one of the front... with the original Music Man trem...
and this is the full guitar 100% restored, no flaws, no nothing..
Thanks for looking people!
