the message i got was that most other 'production' factories could not pull 'smooth, rounded and shiny' fretwork.. i was merely showing him an example of one that could. i don't think that's out of line, is it?

I refrained on commenting on your post for political reasons in this forum. It's not nice to talk about how nice my neighbours yard is when we're trying to appreciate mine.

But for arguement's sake, lets look objectively at your post, and mine.

I did not specify they could not do that. I specified that EBMM's didn't look dressed. If you do pay CLOSE attention to the J Custom's fretwork, they are dressed, and it's easy to tell. I've seen this on numerous J Customs. Jumbo frets don't come a little flat. They come round. Dressed and polished to oval. Again, go look at the frets on your JP6. Tell me if you see signs of dressing. Of course, the worse examples one could see would be Gibson and Fender, but I digress...

Plus, you quoted the TOP of the line of another manufacturer. What I stated about EBMM was across the board. Right down to the Sub1.:D

But you're new here. So I guess I should cut you some slack. Thing is, you need to realise here that this is BP's house, and there are rules and decorum to be observed here. Lets not come here just to use his toilet, shall we?;)

Don't think you are being picked on Teo.

BP doesn't allow bashing other manufacturers here either. I once made the mistake of mentioning another brand by name, for the purposes of demonstrating that EBMM had superior quality and playability for the money. I was quickly admonished by BP for doing that. I was less than kind to the other manufacturer that I mentioned, and he didn't want to be associated with bashing the other manufacturer. I think that speaks volumes about his integrity on this issue, so when he removes a post for praising another manufacturer, I would have to say that he is totally justified.

The lesson learned from that instance was, just avoid posting about other brands on this board. Makes sense. It is a board run by the manufacturer as a courtesy to us. Does that make this a mutal admiration society? Yeah, kind of, but it gives us an opportunity to discuss a great line of guitars.

Finally, a little food for thought.
BP is on these boards frequently. That is a credit to him for caring enough to interact with his customers on a semi-personal level. We are familiar with him, and he is a great guy. I think that level of familiarity, coupled with his friendly personality, may lead some people to assume that they can treat him as any other poster on the boards. BP is a business owner, and the King and ruler of all things EBMM, including this forum, so if he chooses to remove your post for whatever reason, try to learn from it.

Well said. And again man, don't take it personally. It's easy to make mistakes. We'll forgive you once you go out and buy a BFR for each forum member.
