Hello all,

I got my hands on a used MM guitar this week. The previous owner removed the OEM strap buttons and was curious if there’s a way to buy MM buttons. The MM site didn’t seem to have buttons as an option to purchase. I did use the site to buy a tremolo and volume knob. Haha. Yes, this guitar needs a couple things.

The previous owner must have had a strap they moved between multiple instruments. This guitar had two short nylon strap ends that just had female plastic click-lock style receivers (like on a backpack). Those nylon straps were screwed directly into the button holes. I’m a bit worried about how the screws used compare to the original button screws and how this will impact me putting buttons back on.

Thanks!

The short straps are part of the di marzio locking strap system. The strap itself snaps into those clips. Most people remove the strap buttons although I’ve seen people use the receptacle ends under the straps buttons too.

yeah I ordered a big bag off Amazon (In the UK) although I only thought I was buying a pair :D - I have used them on dozens of repair jobs, they are just perfect!
