Hey Fellas, sorry for the late reply...it's Bike Week here and I've been busy with work. To top it off, I'm sick now

I'm thrilled to see all of the positive response to the paint scheme. The more I look at it, the more I like it. It's definitely more subtle than I had originally thought, but I think that'll make for an interesting eye catcher when playing it. The change of angle, much like the Mystic Dream, seems to bring out differences in the guitar. I can't complain...
At anyrate, I'm off tomorrow, so I'll be working on the guitar a little. I've decided to scrap the whole resoldering idea. I've come to the conclusion that reusing the old wires with some solder to hold them together and some shrink tubing is just as good as the wires were in their original state. No need to go the extra hours of work.

However, I've noticed that I'm going to have to sand the inside of the switch and pot holes a bit to make them fit again. I'd forgotten, that BEFORE paint, they all fit snug...now they won't go through at all. No big deal...a really small wooden dowel with some sandpaper twisted around it should solve that...easy fix. Depending on how I'm feeling tomorrow, I should have the guitar reassembled by the evening. I'm still hoping I won't need to get a setup job done on it...not my forte.

I do however, have a question for the Ernie Ball JP owners in the house.
When I ordered my parts from Ernie Ball, a mistake was made, and instead of receiving a Push Pull Tone Pot, I got 2 volume pots...now I'm not sure which one to use.
One of the pots came in a plastic bag with a sticker that says "Potentiometer Vol Luke". The Volume pot says; 15A25K 0838
The other pot came in a plastic bag that wasn't marked, but the volume pot says: 10A500K 0945

So what do you think fellas...which should I use and what are the differences?

I'll check in tomorrow with the status of the guitar, or my illness

Time for the EBMM/CS guys to pop in

Yo Jordan,

I guess the 10A500K 0945 is a 500k Vol Pot....but this is definitely the moment when the EBMM Customer Service guys should pop in and give you exact information.

So, come on, brothers....let the mighty Morbid fulfill his mission

15A25K 0838 is definitely for the Luke typical 25K pot for active electronic

you can use the other one with confidence ;)

Well, today wasn't near as productive of a day as I was hoping it would be.
Got the holes sanded out so the pieces could fit through and got the 2 pickups wired to the switch...that's it.

I'm having some difficulties though...

First one being, the diagram shows a 'bare' wire leading from the pickup selector, to the ring (I'm assuming they mean the brass plate?). I can't find where I'm supposed to solder that bare wire to on the board... I'm a bit confused.

The next issue is I can't seem to find the hole where the ground is supposed to go from the volume/pickup switch cavity to the tremolo claw cavity...I think it got filled up from the paint. Any tips on where I should poke and prod?

I'm also noticing on the diagram it shows a wire that says "To Shield"....but I don't know where the shield is. Any tips on that?

I was really hoping to be done tonight...damn it.

Thanks Peter. I know it'll all get done. It's just been a frustrating couple of days. Being sick certainly isn't helping!

If anyone would possibly be willing to take some detailed pictures of the inside cavity of their JP BFR (I got a push pull tone pot for the JP)so I could see the wiring first hand, it'd be REALLY appreciated. I'm just not loving this diagram.

Believe I found where the ground goes to the tremolo claw though. If my assumptions are correct, it leads from the piezo control cavity (Where the 2 jacks are)to the tremolo cavity.

At anyrate, hoping to have some more time to mess with it tomorrow after work.
