Hi guys,

I'm thinking of putting 10's or 11's on my Luke iii. I know some people have done this. Have you had to file the nut slots? My concern is that the strings will start to grab in the nut when using the trem. Thanks for any input/advice.

I have 11s on several of my EBMMs including one of my Luke IIs. I have never done any filing and have never had any issues.

For the low cost of a pack of strings, start with a set of 10s. I use the Ernie Ball RPS10's on my JP6 and Silhouette and have zero issues. I play 1/2 step down in Eb most of the time. I tried 11s on a different brand of guitar and they were just a little stiff for bends.
