I just cant make an connection between German car industry color palette and JP / Dream Theater :D thats all. Besides that everything else is awesome !!! And also I cant make connection with Majesty symbol and BMW...

I think you're seriously over thinking the whole concept. Why try to make a connection for something that probably doesn't even exist, just sit back and enjoy this peek into the minds of creativity. Genius has no explanation sometimes.

Thanks for the sneak peek! I really like the look of the blue and chrome - regardless of the make of car it came from... Now, where's the rest of it ;)

My guess as to what the Majesty will be... Hmm, no clue, but inspired by the tilt back headstock and ebony board, I think I'll let a "Les Paul Custom on acid" be my shoot in the dark (and no, Jake E Lee didn't use a LP for that one).

Looking great so far and I really can't wait to see the body design - I hope we won't have to wait for winter NAMM for the next update...

Good job so far and again: thanks for the peek BP!

Cheers

Texas Finally!
Very cool love the inlay on the first fret, I can not tell if it is an angled head stock may just be an illusion either way show us more!

I will guess neck-thru, and some kind of body shape adjustment, otherwise they wouldn't be going through all of this Q&A with John if it were just a paint change and Majesty logo on first fret. I will take another stab to speculate something special on the 12th fret also. Perhaps the body is more sharp around the edges (think Ibanez), and less rounded, like the current models, of course an arm scoop. There isn't a locking nut in BP's photo, so no need for a Floyd (like we've seen in that tasty roasted maple neck JP13). One can only just sit at the edge of the seat for so long.. These are just my guesses, but I can only imagine what BP and JP have done now... :)

I have to agree with you there. If we're to see a neck-thru design as well as the angled headstock I can imagine we may see a couple more cues from the Armada. Probably nothing as extreme as the Armadas body shape but, for a JP model I can imagine it being quite different than the previous models. I wonder if they'll bring the arm scoop back? I doubt it will come back but, you never know... I really hope we get more soon because I've stared at the same picture now for way longer than I'd like to admit. That color is stunning, the Majesty logo, AMAZING. As a die-hard Dream Theater/Petrucci fan this sneak peak excitement wise, is right up there with a new DT album release. Thats saying a lot.
