I just purchased a first-year Luke iii - black, with the all-rosewood neck. I understand that the first year was different from subsequent years in that the boost was on the tone pot. Mine appears to have been reversed - i.e. the boost 'push-push' pot is now in the volume pot position. With that said, the boost doesn't seem to work. I've tried changing the battery - any other ideas?

I would definitely take some pictures of the preamp, and contact EBMM customer service.
