I haven't taken the chance yet to publicly thank projectapollo here... nor have a taken the opportunity to share my thoughts on switching back to a 5'er..... and then there is the whole opinion on a solid Rosewood neck thang  .

But first!

This thing is beautiful and plays like a dream.

projectapollo is one stand up guy, and he has helped me out to no end with this. I am very grateful for his help and for the pleasure of meeting such a great person. Really, major kudos! Thank you Sir again for everything! I also have to give props to Brian at Washington Music Center, he is quite awesome too!

For me the Low-B (still) makes sense, and the string spacing is very comfortable. There is some re-adjustment going on in my fingers, but I've committed myself to doing the 5-banger thing... so it is all good. I was nervous about the inbound Dargie II, but now I am very much at ease. That B string could tame the savage wilderness.... knock down mountains.... make you slap yo' mama 'cause its so good....

The Rosewood neck is the cat's meow... it tastes like chicken.... it plays like buddaa... it... well you get the picture. It feels smoother than the maple to me for some reason.... I am really impressed by it, and to me just polishes this package off perfectly. I love the way it feels and the way it looks. I've never been one for Maple boards, so this is great for me to finally have a 1-piece of my chosen fingerboard material... if you get a chance to check one of these out, I would recommend it.

And for those who care about that sort of thing... this thing is really alot lighter than I expected... maybe a tad bit more than my previous 4HSS.

So yes, as my signature states... I'm a happy boy! Thanks to everyone involved again from BP, to Brian, to projectapollo.... you all rock!

What a beauty!! Congratulations and thanks for sharing the pics...

... and I have to admit that I am a bit jealous about that full rosewood neck!

I played one of those puppies last week...Wow...I keep saying my next bass will be a Bongo, but boy-o-boy, this was nice. Insane number of options, but I seemed to understand the choices better than the Big Al...

Once again, I'm jealous...:(

Brian gave me the chance to snag that exact bass, but baby and financial reasons prohibited me from pulling the trigger.

Congrats on an unbelievable bass, and even better workmanship!

Absolutely beautiful bass! I am happy for you Manfloozy! That neck is awesome along with the quilt! I love mine and I know you will love yours!!!
Obviously I like the rosewood board over the maple too! Rosewood is all I've ever had, and on the 25th I think looks best. We all have opinions, so don't be offended if you have a maple, I would have taken one in an instant if it is all I could have gotten in the 25th! Enjoy! ;)

Thanks everyone.... I am really happy. This is "THE" bass I've been after. It took me a bit to get here and some good people, and a bit of luck, and the world looking out for me.... but I couldn't be happier.

It will be loved, and played, and enjoyed, and it will hopefully make a lot of beautiful music. This is the bass I hope I can use to play along with my daughter as she gets older and plays whatever she wants to play (its up in the air between the drums, keyboard and guitar right now... she loves to sing too).

This bass has inspired me on a new level again... and I pick it up every minute I have a chance to play.

I am sorry John that she didn't find her way home to you, and I understand your feeling too as I went through it for a week myself... but I hope that the next best (or better) thing finds its way to you.

BP: You have got to love your job seeing these amazing instruments come out of your factory... and seeing what Dudley and the crew come up with. I can't imagine the sense of pride and joy. You are a player too, and a part of the process... and I think that shows.

Thanks again to everyone.
