what an outpouring of love and concern over the completely harmless mistake on jacks part.

I think it's time jack start sitting down to play anyway...

save a lot of worrying whether he's chucked his biff bongo through the window in a fit of anger and it got run over by a garbage truck...

better safe than sorry....

Jack may have to start playing sitting down...with the 50th coming up he doesnt wear the bass low enough to cover the depends

Jack has assured me that anytime he mentions the word 'depends', it is actually a clever linguistic contraction for 'deep knee bends'.

Hey guys, first time poster (street cred: '96 [I think - got it used] Honeyburst SR5/black PG/maple board). I've been checking out this thread, and thought I would chime in:

I personally only use the Dunlop straploks, but one important piece of information I've learned the hard way is: the screws that come with the straploks do NOT always fit snugly with the strap pins! Very strange, I know, but on my EB and two of my other basses I've had to have the circumference of the screw head grinded down slightly so it fits flush to the bottom of the strap pin. I've found that if I don't do this, I can't fully tighten the pin and it starts to wiggle after a few weeks/months, eventually snapping the screw and causing a MAJOR headache and a great many tears that I am not ashamed to cop to.

Looking forward to chatting with all of you in the future!

Phil

Now you know when you're playing those long sets and the urge to go sets in those "adult diapers" will bail you out every time.

I don't use them myself but I hear things.
