started when i was 13, so... 15 years.
3 of those were in "gigging" bands...mostly been recording at home the last couple years.

You know what's funny...I don't practice as much as I used to, but I get a lot more out of it when I do practice.

At least some of the timing etc I learned as a kid has helped slightly for my timing on guitar. I don't need to think about if I'm playing 3/4, 4/4 etc etc. Phew!

I'm in the same boat. I get *very* little time with a guitar these days, running after 2 toddlers. But I actually make some progress with what little time I *do* have. I think I've finally learned to practice the things that really need the most work. Like Morse said in his 'highlights' video.. if you practice the things that are really difficult, you'll be able to play the other things that aren't as difficult, too (even though you haven't practiced them).
Plus, I think hanging around this forum so much makes me *think* about playing guitar a lot more than I ever have in the past.

That makes sense. I think that with age and experience on your chosen instrument, you don't just randomly play for the sake of playing (or at least as often).SteveB said:
