Well, you CAN get a single humbucker SR or Sterling with piezo so I'm not sure your first statement is true.

Andrew

I'm not sure either, but as soon as someone opens up a HH SR/Srterling we'll know. On the Bongos there is a connection point on the pcb labelled Piezo...

... "thunder" isn't exactly what comes to mind when piezos on a bass are the subject;) ...

While I can't speak for/about 'lefties' on any MM bass,
as an 'international' client, my latest info on a 'rightie' SR5 is that

- No piezo is currently available for SR5 HH or HS configurations
- SR5 / piezo currently available only as Hp
(shall I @$$ume same for SR4 & Sterling ?)

Best EBMM retailer advice is to wait until after winter '06 NAMM
pending EBMM international price list for '06 bass models / options

Communications between retailers and their head / regional offices
is another matter altogether ...

Me too - I love the "edge" that the piezo adds. :D

I surely hope it finds it's way into the dual-pick-up models some day!

BP once told me that he himself is left handed, but was smart enough to learn to play righty. :D

I did the same, not for any special reason, it just felt more natural to play as a righty, don't know why

As of several weeks ago, the salesmullet at GC Toledo had not heard of any such thing as a 2 pickup EB bass, and his vocabulary seemed limited to the words "Warwick" and "Bitchin".

Plus you avoid looking like a freak.

That's going to take a lot more than just turning your bass around. Try buying some new shirts maybe :)

ps. not so long ago, I hit on a very kool tip, mostly for piezo/fretless/roundwound playerz about how,
besides playing technique, to reduce 'fingernoise'
(hint = it's about a few strategic wipes with xxxfine sandpaper)
"Ask Your (Bass)Doctor Today"
Rick Turner recommends the sandpaper trick, and most of his production is piezo-only.

Me too. I feel like I've been spared from a curse. I do think I know why it feels more natural. A normal electric bass is actually a 'stealth lefty' device. Think abouditt.
