Forum difficulties?

Is anyone else experiencing problems with the PM and email message system through the Forum? Starting yesterday afternoon, and continuing today, I am unable to send PMs or emails to fellow Forumites...Is there a problem or have I done something bad (which I don't realize) and am now being punished??

I'm confused...and frustrated, too.

Well, at least I can start a thread without getting the infamous "Internet Explorer cannot display page" page, which was all I could see when trying to send PMs or emails.

It appears now that it must have more to do with the intended recipient than it does the sender - I am able to PM some, but not all.

Oddly enough, I am attempting to send a PM concerning a Bongo to another Forumite (I don't own one yet, but I hope to soon...).

Is "Bongo" a trigger? Does it foul up the PM system??

I was just joking, suggesting in a sinister way that NOT owning a Bongo might lead to technical problems....I had no idea you were really thinking about a Bongo!

Chewie is the Head Technical Person In Charge of Technical Thingamajigs. He might know something (or, well, he might not) but I suspect it's either your browser (get yourself Firefox) or cookies or something else I don't know anything about.

You can also try asking Arin (Phatduckkk), who is clearly a MUCH bigger geek than am I.

I have tried Firefox, and it does the same thing, except it doesn't show the exact same "IE" page - probably since it is not IE....something is amiss (very slightly, however).

As suddenly as it started, I am now able to use the PM feature, and email feature, with no problem. I'd be scratchin' my head over it, but I am too busy typing.....(although I really should be playing one of my EBMMs....)

That sucks John. Was in Cambridge tonight and am staying at the Westing near the airport... might've been a little late for beers but hey, we come out here a few times a year to paly.

Yep, I had received PMs from both of you with no problems. But, it all seems okay now (don't ask me how or why, it just decided to play fair again I guess).

Pete - have my daughter in town from University and couldn't get away for the drive. I will have to hope our paths have a chance to cross again sometime in the future..
