Well I sent the pickguard paid for the postage myself and addressed it to the address provided no name was provided and it was returned to me today RTS Not Found. Just trying to help a fellow forumite out and pay it forward and this is what happens. Oh well. Can't win them all.
If someone wants the pickguard, pictured above, all you have to do is pay the postage, via my PayPal address, and I'll send it to you. A couple of bucks is around the postage cost.
Cheers.
He comes back to the lineup after a decade in the wilderness...he shoots...and he scores!!
Folks, JamminJim's not only one cool dude for doing this, he's also one of the fastest guys I've ever seen ship anything - after this, I really think he lives in a post office, and just ain't tellin' us.
Seriously though, many thanks for the cool guard Jim - whatta great way to return to the board!
Now the great conundrum begins: what do I fill 'er up with?
I actually dig the stock ones - they're like medium hot vintage PAFs in the exact spec range I like. Just saw an eBay listing for a SUB1 bridge HB the other day (which I'm betting is what brought me back here, along with GAS from following EBMM on my LinkedIn page) which the seller measured at 9.46K - and sold for a measly $26! - and that sits perfectly in the vintage VH/George Lynch/Billy Gibbons ballpark of 9-11K I so dig:
I was originally leaning toward Duncan Phat Cats or P-Rails, but still have my 3 MM90 AL and namesake 2 MM-90 Axis, so am pretty well covered in the P90 department.
Was thinking it'd be really cool instead to have something twangy n' Gretsch-y/D'Armond-y-like...never owned one of either, so that's sort of the biggest sonic flavor hole in my arsenal of 30+ instruments here, not to mention EBMM's historical lineup as well.
Also still got my Luke with EMGs, so going to the other extreme with an 81/60 or 81/58 combo with a Q circuit tweak mod is possible, but I've got lots of other projects layin' around I can easily dump those into, and I've typically leaned more towards alternative/oddball medium-hot vintage over the years, for the most part...
Shed pickups, UK - my mate makes them and James Dean Bradfield had his guitar installed with them. These are awesome! Mention me because he changed policy and stopped shipping across the pond unless the receiver paid extra for insurance and signature required for delivery packages - he will make the pickups to your exact spec.
