Yes, I know that video. That boy is an awesome player. He blew my mind when I saw him for the first time at TalkBass playing the "Flight Of The Bumble Bee"

. Later he posted another clip playing "Round Midnight" (all tapped). BTW, There's a loooong discussion about his take on "Donna Lee". He's got some criticisms, but I think his flaws are minimal compared with what he has achieved.

Reading the thread on TB makes it very clear why I rather spend time here...
I mean, here is a guy who can do **** with his bass, and they are complaining???
He's only a kid, and I bet he'll go on to become a great player.

I have tried to access the video several times from work and I could never get it to come up. I won't work here at home either! I want to see it but when I go to the putfile page there's nothing in the video player box. Any suggestions?

Do you have a download manager installed in your system? When you enter the Putfile site (where the video is), download managers automatically try to download the video, preventing it from appearing in the player. In that case you should either download the video to your hard disk first using the manager and then watch it using your favorite player or disable your download manager before reaching the Putfile site. Let me know if that works.

I don't have a download manager but I don't know how to download from that link. When I click on the donnalee link above, the window opens and the video just starts playing. When I click on your link, the window opens and there's a box with an icon in the upper left corner of it. It's the icon you get on windows when you can't see a picture. Sorry, that's the best I can describe it.

Here's what Putfile says about that problem:


The video does not play, or audio plays with no video.

Make sure that you have the latest Windows Media player and the latest Quicktime player installed.
Make sure that you give the video enough time to load, it may take a few minutes.
If the video still does not play, the video may be encoded with DIVX or another custom codec.
Mac users must use the latest OSX, Internet Explorer, and install all the latest players. Even then some of the Windows media may not work on your Mac.



#3 doesn't apply since it's an mpg file. Maybe you should try installing the latest version of Windows Media Player? Here's the link:

OK! Downloading the update for the windows media player worked!

Really nice playing. I've heard some of the audio files that you've posted here before and I was anxious to see and hear the video. Thanks for sharing that with us.

Sure, man! I have a recording of that in my website (although that's mixed with the "Sexually Active" and "Country Music" intros) and also transcribed it, in case you're interested. I'll record a video later.
