Everybody loves a NGD! I've been on the hunt for another L3 for a while ... this one is fantastic. At some point I'll get it refretted but I'm going to enjoy it for a while first.

Looks like they left the neck in the oven a little longer than usual :)

Here's a shot with with the other Lukes:

Looks like they forgot that neck in the oven when roasting! :D Love it looks great, congrats!

Great idea with those rings to dampen the strings. Are those some special ones or just something you can get off amazon?

Thanks!

Yeah, I ordered a multi-pack of rubber grommets from Amazon. I stick them behind the headstock to dampen the ringing. The G seems to be the most susceptible, and this seemed to be the easiest fix.

I almost bought one of those SO many times.... but talked myself into wanting the Transition pickups and saw they had made a Bluesberry Burst in the past... and one of those came up for sale... otherwise I'd have a fuscia sparkle

I love both sets of pickups. I have the Transition humbuckers in the Buckeye Burl Luke, and put them in my 25th and Morse. But I also love the Cutlass single coils and the newer MM Luke pickup - also put one of those in my Cutlass. Just different shades of great.

I'm still itching to try the newer HT singles in the Cutlass and L4.
