His album Wild Frontier was a big part of my life with I was 16 years old. He played some great tunes and I have great memories of those days thank to his music. Thank you Gary, RIP.
Wow! That's too bad. Those of you that only know him from his blues work, need to hear him in his shredding days. "Corridors of Power" has some of the cleanest, fastest fingerwork on vinyl. The guy could shred AND he had a very good singing voice. Unfortunately a lot of the stuff from that era is out of print and hard to find (even to download). If you can find it, get it.
