It's a shame he passed away. I didn't know him personally, but he was a bit of a local legend here, seeing as he grew up just 2 towns away. It's always a shame when legends leave.
Innaresting DuBaldo Music Center Trivia: Gene Pitney swung over to the store about 50 years ago and bought his first (or one of his first) guitars from us. His drummer drove past our store the other day and saw that we were still here. Later that night in an interview on CT public tv, he mentioned us and how "Gene got his start with guitar at this little store in Manchester called DuBaldo Music Center... I just drove past this morning and they are still there!"
