Big Poppa had some great ideas, which ran through Dudley and Christopher Guest,
and ended up on my desk. I then designed the basic artwork in Illustrator with some
assistance from it's cousin Photoshop, after which the art was handed over to
Dudley and Jon, who carved it out of a body and let Sin go at it with his amazing
paint skills. Beyond that, it was mostly out of my hands until the final day, when
I was lucky enough to get to shoot some shots of it before it went out on it's
awesome journey to England. I'm sure enjoneer can speak volumes on the other
aspects of the build process. :)

I would say manufacturing officially started on June 20th, when we laser engraved the maple top with the earth and flames. There was however a great deal of design, artwork, web searching electronics testing and other brainstorming that has been going on for about four weeks before we started cutting wood. So roughly 6 weeks from concept to final instrument.

The guitar body, neck and snow globe were all modeled in Pro Engineer. This was absolutely necessary because it was a real challenge to fit all of the electronics underneath the fingerboard and into the body without hitting any of the guitar related components.
