It's even lightweight with the Mahogany body? Or was this made before it was changed to an all mahogany body? I'd love to try one of these because of my recently-acquired Silo GAS.

Pretty sure this is an all Mahogany body, Pete care to chime in? Before Pete sent it to me we talked about the build of it.

It is lighter than any guitar I have ever played and just a hot axe:cool:

So Fing,

If it came down to the 25th, the 20th, and the Gold Roller, which one would you keep?

All of the Gold Roller guitars are made with mahogany, and are geared towards being very lightweight light. Aside from maybe a prototype or two, there weren't any made with other body woods. The spec is 6lbs 5oz, but it feels like 4lbs to me because of how it is balanced.

Fing, have a scale handy?

Jeez, that is light. I remember a thread where BP or Dargin or someone said that the Gold Rollers would now be made with custom pickups and an all-mahogany body instead of alder with the tone block. But maybe that was before any were actually made for production.

OK final report before I let this die, first another thanks to Pete and Nick for making this happen, never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would have the chance to test drive a Gold Roller in the perfect conditions, which is in my house with my gear.

Again this is a rock machine, plus I have been able to get some nice cleans out of it as well, fits my Mesa to a tee and can not harp enough about the body weight and killer all around tones, like I said I shall be getting one on order.

Love all EBMM but I really think this is an ultimate piece and think the 25th, 20h and Gold Roller are a combo made in heaven:cool:

Awesome story and great score, Fing. Pete is great. I'm glad somebody on the forum finally picked-up a GR. I suspect that's going to be one of, if not THE, rarest of the EB guitars.

LOL way off topic and I can not spell it right but they are hydranias, depending on the type of soil they either bloom pink or if its more sandy they bloom blue

Thanks to dictionary.com, the flower is spelled like this: hydrangea. I have several in my yard. I get both pink and blue.

Back on topic, I've been scheming on how to get a Gold Roller for some time. Trouble is, you almost have to order one to see or play one.

Thanks to this thread my GAS meter just went through the roof...that Gold Roller is absolutely flawless (I wonder why I never really thought of getting one before...?).
