One of my all time favs is Steve Vai's outro solo on Ease from the PIL Album.

He playing is ridiculous in that solo and granted it's a "check this out" kind of lead, but it's awesome.

Favorite all-time solo---Larry Carlton on Third World Man by Steely Dan on Gaucho. The solo and the outro solo are complete perfection.

I'd have to say (in no particular order)
- Satriani "Is There Love in Space?"
- Vinnie Moore "Move that Thang"
- Steve Morse "Highland Wedding"
- Steve Morse "Ice Cakes"
- Petrucci "Under a Glass Moon"
- Dave Gilmour "Another Brick in the Wall (Part II)"
- Al Dimeola "Two to Tango"
- Andy Timmons "Super '70s"
- Bugs Henderson "Roll Me Over (Live Radio Edit)"
- Robin Trower "Too Rolling Stoned"
- Robin Trower "Secret Place" (from 20th Centrury Blues)
- Mike Stern "Lose the Suit"
- Doug Boyle "Ship of Fools" (from from Robert Plant's Now and Zen)
I could go on and on.

Jeff Beck's "Cause we ended as Lovers"
also Sonny Landreths live stuff with John Hiatt.

All right now by Kossoff - saw him do it live and I was speechless - so much feel.

In my book, the "Greatest Solo Ever" was David Gilmour on 'Comfortably Numb'.
(and I'm a *MASSIVE* EVH and Vai fan)
  • Shawn Lane- pretty much anything at any time, but I love his solos in the Sneaky Pete's video.
  • Alex Skolnick- "Return To Serenity".
  • Gary Moore- "Warriors Of The Wasteland- Attack Mix"
There are so many others....I could go on for a week.

Kudos to those who mentioned Doug Boyle. I dug his stuff with Plant.
And the guy that mentioned WangDang...heh heh...."....need to find a garage....". Awesome stuff.
