Anyone know the story behind the signed EVH? The trans black looks amazing!

Very cool tune! The video production and visuals were awesome...but Im not sure what was going on there hehe. And yes, the blue burst on the Silo is freaking awesome!

I think that EVH EBMM in the picture is probably Larry DiMarzios personal guitar from his collection most likely.

No doubt Gretchen is an amazing player for any gender. Okay that was one freaky video lol, I thought when she was on the table the guy was removing the bones from her fingers, anyone else think that way.

26 posts and you guys almost made it without a comment that was sexist...How many comments do you remark that a guy player is cute? I have zero tolerance for this as it has driven EVERY single female poster away. Please keep your comments on looks to your selves thanks

Sounds influenced by Steve Morse.

OK, back to Gretchen as a player. She is very good and to me also certainly seems to have a bit of Steve Morse in the style. Having been onto her website and looked at some of the AC/DShe/Zepparella/Solo stuff etc she is extremely accomplished and reading her history and bio has attained a very high standard which is evident in her playing. Gretchen mentions SM as a big influence so not surprsing I guess that some of Steves style might have crept into some of her methods over the years. Not a bad guy to take some tips from that's for sure.
She has switched me on to her music and loved the video altho agree I'm not sure what the video was about but enjoyed the music anyway. Would love it if she gonna tour UK in any guise of music. Music well played is just that.... damned enjoyable. And I'll be looking at getting hold of some of her music for my ipod too. Assume she is well known in USA but I would never have heard of her unless this forum had not flagged her up for me. You USA based guys are spoilt for available instruments/artists/local bars with bands etc. You don't realise how spoilt for choice you are.
So thanks for that. And hope Gretchen keeps up the good work and develops her inspiration further as she has a great future.
Cheers Baz

Unless I'm in the dark too, I wouldn't say she's well known in the US. I first heard of her here from a much earlier post - and I'm always on the lookout for new guitar based talent and music to add to my ipod.

Yeh, I agree 100% with that BP. I'm hoping she can get enough profile going to get here to gig the UK. Will keep my fingers crossed for her.

Altho the 'tribute' kind of thing she has been doing seemed pretty well supported based on the crowds at whatever the venues were.

Anyway, back to the guitar...
I luv that blue silo she plays. Is that colour actually the same blueburst as on the Morse or a differnt shading....

Pics/lights can get decieving & my old eyes are not what they were.

Cheers

Yep, that looks like Blueburst ... my favourite colour. Looks fantastic on that Silo. (Like a less complicated Morse.)

Gotta agree with you on blueburst Beej... especially when it is lighter so you can really see the grain. Some I have seen have a darker hue and the grain not so obvious. Mine is a very transparent one.
BP gave her that guitar when she was a teenager so certainly looks like she has looked after it well.

Must be nice for BP too for such a nice gesture like that 'gift' to be rewarded years after by seeing someone like Gretchen grow up and blossom as a wonderful artist and still be using the Silo. Faith has it's rewards huh !!!
Think BP saw some early potential there...

Interesting her silo as it gives me an indication of what my Morse blueburst would look like with a white pg. I find the black a bit plain sometimes and some of the Morses with 'flashier' pg's do look damned good.
Have to practice my photoshop...

Cheers
