YYYEEESSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT'S HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'M FINALLY PART OF THE ADDICTION!!!!!!
8:30 this morning - THANK YOU TNT! xxx
Had to sneak it past She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed though, she was suspicious, what have you been buying? she asked (as if she didn't know
)
Anyway, here's some pics, since you won't believe me otherwise:
Straight out of the box:
Yes, a Bongo at last!
Luvverly:
2 octaves of meaty, ballsy, single-H 4 string goodness: (must finish the skirting on that post)
Yes, it's Sapphire Black, I've been converted:
Headstock duh:
Headstock reverse, double duh:
Daddy's Rig and new Best Friend:
So I took the day off today (funeral to attend this afternoon
) and therefore had chance to spend an hour (or was it more?) playing as soon as it was in my sticky grasp. What do I think? Fantastic! It really does bite and with some valve/tube pre-amp on the Ashdown it's really raunchy. Amazing for slap though, something about that E string, has an incredible bouncy punch to it. The active electronics are phenomenal.
Love it!!

So BP, I have a Big Poppa bass of all things and I do know now why you like it so much - this is likely to be my main live bass without a doubt. Thanks for building such fine instruments, cheers to everyone at SLO and thanks to all the guys at Strings and Things and Nick at Soundsplus - I'm a very happy camper!
Now, about that Bongo 5 and 6 ...
