to get my first Ball tonight:(

I just happened to stumble upon axis supersport I fell in love with back in May (they moved it to a different Guitar Center).....I know we can't post prices here, but it was beyond ridiculous. Let me put it this way...after the trade-in on my seven string that I'm getting rid of (and wont miss at all), I'd only be paying $500 for it. Unfortunately, I was expecting a better trade in value on the seven string and I didn't have the money....I spent about 20 minutes at the counter debating whether or not to do their 12 month finance plan. Ultimately I decided not to, as I'm in college and don't currenty have a constant source of income for things like this. This one is going to sting for a long time, but I know that in a few weeks when I look back, I'll be proud of myself for making the financially responsible decision.

I'm in need of serious grief counseling:(.

Lucky for you I'm a "counselor" (self-appointed)!! Now first off, (and I'm doin' this for free, so don't complain:), first off the price was probably not ridiculous for the AxisSS, you were just "low" on funds. Secondly, The trade-in on your 7 stringer was ok, (not much of a market for it), thirdly, the 12 mos plan was ok for "things" like this. Hey, what's more important, food or a MM guitar? (ok, now that we got that cleared up). And, lastly, Yes, it's gonna sting, but when you look back your gonna say, "man, why didn't I get that guitar!!!" So, run out to GC and do the right thing - get that guitar!!!!:)

no no no....you missed the point (and the reason why it stings so much)....the price was ridiculously LOW, not high. I'm too grief-stricken to be clear in my descriptions:(

I know something about it! I could buy beautiful and amazing guitar just yesterday. It was from USA, must have one model. And everything seemed to be perfect! My dream guitar, I could afford for it...but then I spoke to guy from UPS and then to a employee of the Custom Service and all my dreams crushed down...Custom rate for electric guitar for items from USA is ridiculously high!!! And total cost was way too big for me...I think I'm gonna regret this to the end of my life, because it was Fully Loaded 200 LE of JP6...
...straight conclusion - living in Poland is really bad when it comes to buy something that you really want!

Why, you're in such a fragile state!! I didn't realize how despondent you were! I better proceed a little more delicately here:

All I can say is, "you better darn grab that guitar at that price!!!!!" :):)

Yeah I wish I had your will power, I just grab whatever I feel I want and deal with it later - but you cant go wrong with a nice american EBMM guitar as a gool player and good investment -

Buy it on the 12 month plan and get a p/t job to pay for it. Or work over your winter break. Or bust your balls (no pun intended) and save the funds over the summer. Whatever you have to do, it will be worth the sacrifice and the $500. You'll keep the guitar for a lifetime and it will be a symbol of how you worked hard and saved for something that you really treasure.

Now, call that GC and have them put it aside for you.

You won't regret it. Out of all the things to spend your money on in college (stereos, bikes, skateboards, girls), the only thing you'll probably still have in 5, 10, 20 years from now will be that fine EBMM. Of course, I'm not talking about books and things that you need for school. Now, you'll just have to budget, work and save - and hopefully enjoying the guitar will set you off to working even harder in school so that you can afford to buy more one day!

Seriously, you're going to look at that guitar several years from now and you'll be very proud of it. (I hope!)

the decision breaker for me was that I'm a music major (guitar performance)....so having really good gear that I'm 100% comfortable relying on is (and should be) a priority....so that's my justification:D

You won't regret it. And like everyone says, as your Ball collection grows over time, you'll always cherish that one because of the devotion it took to get it.
