Would be interesting, I asked the same question last week when I got my Music Man deal from the local GC but the sales manager told me they just wanted to get rid of a lot of inventory just now.... Anyway, just rumors just now that might or might not be true.

Also, if there's a brand that makes sense ordering blindly online, it's the lineup of Music Man guitars and bass guitars.

Agree..I could litertally play any MM guitar and enjoy it but the wait time is painful...lol, GC seemed to always had what I wanted in stock either in a store or in the warehouse...

I spoke with a GC mgr again today and he said there's no way they're not selling EBMM's anymore. He said they were only clearing out inventory to make room for new, and that whatever stock they don't sell at these closeout prices will simply go back to normal pricing when they get stocked back up.

They still had some 25th Anniversary guitars that were new. Those guitars had to be sitting in inventory for 5 years. It's just time to move them along. Can't believe they were still there.

The Y2D I bought had been in the store for over a year.

I was surprised that the GameChanger was one of the harder guitars to find. My GtrCtr mngr friend told my my HSH Piezo Trem rosewood was the only one they had in the system.

I think the case with Y2Ds was the price, extremely good guitars but the GC price point made it hard to easily sell them. Until now, of course.
