Hello everyone, my name is Sayed & just yesterday I found this forum off the Ernie Ball main website. I havn't been playing the bass for very long, maybe 4 or 5 months off & on, but have decided to become more serious about playing. My current rig (please don't laugh) is a Fender Squier P Bass & an Ampeg B100R amp. I think it's time to upgrade my bass. I've heard wonderful comments around the internet about Music Man basses, so I've decided to get one. I've also decided to get a 5 string because of the versitility of it.
What I am wondering about, is the main difference between the single & double pu configurations. From what I can tell, the EB website doesn't even list a doulbe pu model in the build an instrument section, but as I type this, a blurb keeps flashing at the top of the screen "StingRay5 available now in multiple pickup configurations." Also, in the build an instrument, the color/neck/guard combo I'm most interested does not have a picture available. I'm leaning towards a Black Cherry Burst, maple neck, Shell pickguard, with a possible matching headstock. If anyone has a picture of this bass, I would appreciate a posting of it.
